Slimline Aluminium Windows are becoming increasingly popular in modern, new extensions as well as in traditional home renovations. When replacing traditional single, or double-glazed steel windows in a 1930’s home, it is essential to be sympathetic to the overall look of the building. Our modern, double glazed slim frames enhance the security and thermal properties of a building without compromising on aesthetics.
There are three different styles to choose from in the SL38 range; the Classic, the Ferro and the Cubic, giving you the freedom to add your own personality to your home when replacing your windows. Each of the three styles of window have been tested and achieved level RC2 security, to keep you safe and provide a U-Value of 1.9 W/m²K to keep your home warm.
Each of the styles in the range are considered to be highly desirable. Bloors can discuss the features and benefits of our complete range with you to explain the differences in the designs. We specialise in the supply and installation of Aluminium windows and doors throughout Cheshire and Derbyshire, with a showroom based in Macclesfield.
The Classic design was inspired by the industrial style of steel windows, often referred to as Art Deco, featuring a bevelled sash and frame. Whilst the original steel windows are elegant and charming, many are single glazed and offer very little protection from the wind and the rain.
The Cubic window design features a more contemporary square frame and sash and is also considered to be an ideal replacement for traditional steel windows, with slim sightlines. Replacing old single or double glazing with modern, double glazed slim frames enhances the security and thermal properties of a building without compromising on aesthetics.
The Ferro is based on a Bauhaus design, favouring a more linear and geometric form, whilst meeting the same security and thermal efficiency of the Classic and the Cubic designs.
Each of the designs can be manufactured in a wide range of colours in either a matt, gloss or textured finish. A black finish can look striking when contrasting with a newly rendered house.
One of the benefits of using Aluminium to make windows is that it is such a strong material, making it possible to design and install a wall of glass in your home which is two storeys or more high. This kind of design is popular when creating a grand entrance to your home, making a feature of the hallway and allowing in plenty of natural light. If you are thinking of such a design in your home, Bloors can offer a comprehensive range of luxurious Aluminium Front Doors in a multitude of designs and colours.
